Palace on Wheels Train :
“Palace on Wheels” takes one to a thrilling experience of the ‘land of sand dunes’ and ‘regal palaces’ where one can witness the grand lifestyles of the Rajputs. The grand interiors of this luxurious train of India matches the majestic charm and beauty of Rajasthan. Considered as one of the top ten luxury train journeys in the world, this royal train will take you to a tour of the splendid forts and palaces of Rajasthan and Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders in just seven days.
This mind blowing journey of the desert starts every Wednesday evening at 1800 hrs from Delhi and ends on the following Wednesday early in the morning at 0730 hrs. In the olden times, the rulers of princely states of Rajputana, Gujarat, the Nizam of Hyderabad and the Viceroy of British India used to travel by these luxurious coaches. It is interesting to note that after independence, these coaches were parked and remained in this state till 1981-82, when the Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation and Indian Railways together launched a special heritage tourist.

Fairy Queen Train :
“Fairy Queen”, one the foremost luxurious trains of India has been recorded in the "Guinness Book of World Records" as it is the oldest running steam locomotive in the world. This train is meant for a perfect weekend trip between Delhi and Alwar where one travels through the picturesque town of Alwar in Rajasthan the same day, from where the guests will be taken to Sariska Tiger Reserve for an overnight stay. Its a guarantee that the passengers will get one in lifetime experince and will return with fond memories gathered here.
As mentioned earlier, “Fairy Queen” is the oldest working broad gauge steam locomotive in the world and was built in the year 1855 by the British firm Kinston, Thompson & Hewitson for the British firm East India Railways. Way back in 1855 the majestic Fairy Queen embarked on its maiden journey for the erstwhile East Indian Railway then after a huge gap it rolled again in 1908 and finally this luxurious train started on February 1st, 1997 from Delhi to Alwar.
The splendid journey of Fairy Train starts every 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month from Delhi from where it goes to Alwar then Sariska and then back to Delhi. The tour takes one night and two days to complete.
